Job responsibilities
  • Support the planning and execution of key strategic initiatives for the APAC GCIB business.

  • Collaborate with the Country Desk team to support client Relationship Managers in APAC by developing analytics that will help drive business.

  • Engaging with Planning team in each APAC country and multiple Product offices regarding business initiatives.

  • Initiate and develop regional strategies in collaboration with the Country Desk team through our Annual Account Strategy framework and Deal Screening Committee.

  • Supporting relationship managers for clients across Asian Local Corporates, Global Subsidiaries and Financial Institutions - thereby support revenue targets of the country or region or Asset growth initiatives.

  • Promote business expansion while ensuring a healthy balance through risk and governance initiatives.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the business on the ground and reflect key discussion points and improvements into planning tasks through establishment and refinement of regional frameworks.

  • Co-ordinate with Product offices and Risk departments based across APAC and Japan to capture cross border transactions and ancillary business for maximizing profitability and expanding business horizons.

  • Requires basic understanding of banking products.

  • Capability to assess business situations using data analysis skills to interpret regional portfolio data and implement practical and effective initiatives are essential.

  • Being stationed at the Regional HQ, Singapore, role would involve Senior Stakeholder Management and involvement in strategic projects as directed by Global/Regional Management to achieve Medium Term Business Plan of the bank. You should be able to influence all relevant local and regional stakeholders.

  • Support key programs such as the Executive Sponsorship program and manage third-party market data providers, including Voice of Client surveys.

  • Ensure all business risks are managed and reported/escalated appropriately, supporting a culture of zero tolerance for compliance and regulatory breaches.

Job requirements
  • Minimum 2 years’ banking experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Banking.

  • General Knowledge of Corporate Banking products and services.

  • Background in data consolidation and analysis of lending portfolio will be of added advantage.

  • Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.

  • Meticulous with eye for details with analytical bent of mind.

  • Strong adaptability and able to work well in a team.

  • Microsoft PC Skills; Word/ Excel/ PowerPoint (mid-high level).
