Job summary

A global sovereign wealth fund based in Singapore is looking for an Analyst/Associate to join its Secondaries team. This 3-year fixed-term position involves building financial models, supporting deal memos, and engaging with private equity managers. Candidates should have 1-2 years of relevant experience and strong communication skills. Proficiency in business-level Chinese is advantageous. The role offers exposure to the rapidly expanding private equity secondaries industry.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Build Excel-based models to value operating companies, funds, portfolios, and structured transactions.
  • Support deal memos and assist in presenting to the Investment Committee.
  • Represent GIC in engagements with private equity managers during due diligence.
  • Coordinate with other strategy groups to evaluate and execute secondaries investments.
  • Assist in the deal closing process, collaborating with legal counsel and office teams.

Secondaries

The Secondaries strategy aims to invest with leading private equity secondary sponsors and participate in a wide array of secondary deals involving the acquisition of private equity fund stakes and GP‑led transactions. The Secondaries team also supports the management of the Funds and Co‑Investments portfolio through the analysis, purchase, and sale of assets through the secondary market.

We are looking for a suitable candidate to join our Secondaries team in Singapore. This will be a 3‑year fixed‑term programmatic hire (with full employment terms & benefits).

Preferred candidates should see this as a unique opportunity to develop a skill set in the rapidly expanding private equity secondaries industry. The Associate will be part of a global team with colleagues in London and New York. The Analyst/Associate should expect to focus on Asia or emerging markets, with occasional opportunities to support transactions in North America and Europe.

What would you do as an Analyst/Associate?
  • Build Excel‑based models to value operating companies, funds, portfolios, and structured transactions
  • Support the preparation of deal memos and assist in presenting to the Investment Committee
  • Represent GIC in engagements with private equity managers, company management teams, counterparties, and intermediaries during due diligence and ongoing monitoring
  • Coordinate with other strategy groups (Funds, Direct Investments, Venture, Infrastructure, Real Estate, Public Markets) to evaluate and execute secondaries investment opportunities
  • Assist in the deal closing process, collaborating with internal and external legal counsel, as well as back and middle office teams
