What the role is

The SPiNOFF Entrepreneurship Centre, is a center within Singapore Polytechnic (SP) focused on fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among SP students. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Administrative and Events Officer to join our team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting administrative functions and coordinating logistics to ensure the smooth execution of entrepreneurship events and internal operations.

What you will be working on

1. Student Onboarding Coordination: Assist with the onboarding of student startups under the SPINOFF programmes, ensuring all required documents are submitted accurately and on time.

2. Funding Disbursement Support: Prepare the necessary documentation for Finance to process disbursements for programmes and projects. Ensure all forms and supporting documents are complete and compliant with internal procedures.

3. Centre Operations: Support the supervision of the SPINOFF Entrepreneurship Centre to ensure it is well maintained and fully operational and report any maintenance or facilities issues promptly.

4. Event Coordination: Support the planning and execution of entrepreneurship events and initiatives, including liaising with vendors, trainers, and participants; managing registrations; preparing event materials; coordinating logistics; and providing on-site support.

5. Marketing: Assist with marketing activities, including the creation of social media assets, where necessary.

6. Process Alignment Support: Assist in aligning internal processes by drafting and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), particularly for event operations. Support the consolidation and synchronisation of spreadsheets and documents across teams to ensure data consistency and accuracy.

7. Other Duties: Perform any other tasks assigned to support the team and centre operations.

What we are looking for

  • Able to handle administrative tasks and basic documentation efficiently.
  • Experience working with youth or a willingness to engage with young entrepreneurs is a plus.

This is a 11-month contract position.
