Job description

As an Department Administrative Assistant for the Technology Products Group (TPG) organization at Micron Technology, Inc., you are accountable to provide administrative support to enable effective organization, efficient operation, and communication in a fast-paced environment. This role has the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to improving the smooth operation of processes and activities within the scope of the position. You will be providing general support on matters related to organization and communication as well as the execution of general administrative duties. It is a role that also entails providing support to leadership teams and executives within the TPG organization that are onsite as well as back up support to for site operations.

Job Description

Perform administrative duties to include, but not limited to:

  • Arrange meetings and appointments and provide reminders
  • Coordinate and provide travel assistance for team members, leadership, and executives (e.g. visa application, travel claim, travel booking)
  • File expense reports and ensure timely reimbursements
  • Monitor and order office supplies
  • Conference room reservations
  • Arrange and coordinate Team building, celebration activities, etc.
  • Facilitate catering
  • Act as liaison to other Administrative Assistants
  • Develop and carry out an efficient documentation and filing system
  • Always maintain appropriate discretion and confidentiality
  • Schedule suppliers, vendors and internal visitor meetings, office reservations, etc.
  • Coordinate office moves
  • Prepare emails, letters and other documents using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Distribute incoming communications and evaluate to identify those items needing priority attention
  • Conduct research and compile data for review as needed
  • Support SharePoint site setup & maintenance
  • Support rudimentary data compilation
  • Serve as an effective liaison between various Micron sites, departments, and other TPG locations in the resolution of day-to-day administrative problems
  • Ensure smooth office operations:
  • Distribute incoming mail and packages for multiple TPG bullpens
  • Arrange and track package shipments
  • Schedule maintenance and repairs for area office equipment
  • Maintain office supply ordering and inventory
  • Order and maintain office equipment and act as liaison with contractors
  • Heavy coordination between and with IT, facilities, and security
  • Provide department support
  • Provide area/building support
  • Provide back-up support to other TPG Administrative Assistants
Requirements
  • Successful candidates for this position will have: 5+ years of experience providing administrative support
  • The proven ability to interact with team members at all levels of the organization to support multiple activities in parallel
  • Reliable attention to detail, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience developing administrative policies and procedures
  • Strong organization skills
  • Ability to meet defined deadlines
