Job description

We are partnering with a leading European banking platform with a long-established global presence and a growing corporate franchise in Asia. This is a confidential growth hire to strengthen the bank’s European MNC coverage out of Singapore.

The role is well-suited for an experienced corporate banker who is comfortable navigating cross-border relationships, European headquarters stakeholders, and complex client requirements in an evolving platform.

The Opportunity

You will manage and grow a portfolio of European multinational clients, covering their regional and Asia-Pacific banking needs. Client size and complexity will vary, ranging from mid-market corporates to large multinational groups.

Core responsibilities include:

  • End-to-end relationship management and business origination for European MNCs
  • Strong focus on Trade Finance solutions, including:
  • Bank Guarantees (BG)
  • Letters of Credit (LC)
  • Open-account trade solutions (e.g. factoring and related structures, as the platform develops)
  • Origination and execution of structured financing solutions, including:
  • Syndicated loans
  • Asset-Backed financing
  • Working closely with internal product partners on:
  • M&A-related financing and advisory support
  • Treasury and hedging solutions
  • Acting as a trusted point of contact between clients, regional teams, and European headquarters

In addition to client coverage, the role offers the opportunity to contribute ideas, build solutions, and help shape processes within a growing franchise.

Profile We Are Looking For:

  • Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience in Corporate Banking, with demonstrated success in MNC and cross-border client coverage, particularly involving European multinational corporations
  • Strong technical grounding in trade finance and transaction banking products, including structured trade solutions and complex cross-border flows
  • Solid understanding of European and Western business culture, gained through one or more of the following:
  • Direct relationship management of European MNC clients
  • Overseas education or professional experience in Europe or other Western markets
  • Secondment or employment within European or international banking institutions
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a foreign-language, multicultural environment, with confidence engaging regional stakeholders and European headquarters
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline; a postgraduate qualification (e.g. MBA or relevant professional certifications) is advantageous
  • Strong commercial judgement, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset, with the resilience and adaptability to perform in a growth platform where processes and capabilities continue to evolve
