Position Summary
The ACMV / HVAC Service Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing all air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation (ACMV) activities, including project execution, system installation, testing, and commissioning, while supporting facilities management operations. The incumbent will ensure all works comply with regulatory requirements, project specifications, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution & Site Management
- Supervise ACMV installation, upgrading, rectification, and testing & commissioning works.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
Facilities Management Support
- Provide technical support for daily operations of ACMV systems, including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV systems, pumps, and ventilation equipment.
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for system faults and performance issues.
- Review BMS/EMS data to identify anomalies and recommend improvements.
Technical & Compliance
- Ensure all ACMV works comply with local codes, regulations, and internal quality standards.
- Review method statements, risk assessments, technical submissions, and operation manuals.
- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and project records.
Leadership & Coordination
- Lead site teams and supervise subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient execution of works.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, FM teams, and external parties to support operational and project requirements.
Requirements
- ITE / Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant ACMV experience, preferably in a contractor environment with exposure to facilities management.
- Strong technical knowledge in ACMV installation, commissioning, maintenance, and system optimisation.
- Familiarity with local codes and standards such as SS553, SS554, and mechanical ventilation requirements.
- Proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a demanding environment.
