A financial services firm in Singapore seeks an experienced accounting professional to manage the full set of accounts, including preparations of financial statements and payroll processing. Job Scope

Job Scope: Manage full set of accounts in Accpac system which includes:

  • Prepare, process and record collections accurately, including issuance of receipts, deposit of cash, recording of prepayments.
  • Prepare, process and record payments accurately, including payments to suppliers and claims from members. Check that the relevant approvals have been obtained prior to the processing of payment.
  • Record all receivables and payables and tracking of all outstanding balances.
  • Update and maintain Fixed Assets register, recording all additions, disposals, and transfers.
  • Update and maintain Fixed Deposits and Investment register.
  • Update and maintain properties and rental receivable records.
  • Update and maintain monthly welfare tokens e.g. baby gift, marriage gift and condolences.
  • Update and maintain petty cash account.
  • Process payroll related transactions including medical/welfare claims, CPF submissions and IRAS submissions for Auto Inclusion Scheme for Employment Income.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations, trial balances and financial statements for month-end closing.
  • Prepare project statements for all projects.
  • Support the Treasurer’s team in monthly reporting to management committee and any routine/ad-hoc request on the club’s financials.
  • Main liaison for all banks on all bank related matters such as updating of bank mandate, placement/renewal of fixed deposits.
  • Prepare, maintain and submit quarterly GST.
  • Prepare and record accruals, prepare/update audit schedules, financial statements and any other documents for year-end closing.
  • Main liaison for statutory audit to facilitate the year-end statutory audit of accounts and checking audited financial statements and income tax submission for accuracy.
  • Use relevant IT systems and tools effectively for data analysis. To participate in ad-hoc finance-related projects and systems testing when necessary.
Requirements
  • Planning and allocating resources: Able to identify work priorities, allocate resources and complete tasks within reporting deadlines.
  • Organising and coordinating: Able to identify additional tasks to be performed and resources necessary to effectively carry out assigned duties.
  • Diploma in Accountancy
  • At least 1-2 years’ experience in handling full set of accounts.
  • Good knowledge of systems such as Accpac and PayDay. Knowledge in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, etc.
