Responsibilities

Job description

Job Title: Senior Accounts Executive / Accounts Executive

Reports To: Accounts Manager / Asst. Accounts Manager

Supervises: Accounts Assistant

Min. Qualifications: Degree in Accountancy / Diploma in Accounting

Responsibilities
  1. Assist the Manager in accounting functions.
  2. Control and handle petty cash; ensure cash on hand is tied with the book.
  3. Handle all accounts payable record-keeping and produce monthly accounting reports.
  4. Upkeep all payable transactions, prepare payment vouchers and produce monthly creditors accounting reports.
  5. Maintain detailed, perpetual inventory records and produce periodic reports.
  6. Update billings and costs on individual job and prepare job status reports.
  7. Closing of month-end accounts and produce monthly financial statements.
  8. Closing of year-end accounts and ensure smooth-running of regular auditing.
  9. Handle other accounting matters such as chasing for payment, verifying expense statements, liaising with external auditors on taxation matters and etc.
  10. Maintain full sets of accounts for the company.
  11. Provide necessary information / reports to Japan Head Quarter.
  12. Promptly submission of GST returns and tax report, etc.
  13. Liaise with bankers, external auditors and tax agent, etc.Handle subsidiaries’ accounts / section / branch accounts.
  14. Ensure compliance of all accounting policies and procedures.
  15. Maintain good housekeeping in the accounts department.
  16. Take on added tasks / responsibilities as assigned by the superiors.
