Job summary

A construction company based in Singapore seeks an experienced accountant to manage full sets of accounts and prepare tax returns. The ideal candidate has a Diploma in accounting, at least 3 years of local experience in the construction industry, and is bilingual in English and Mandarin to effectively communicate with clients and suppliers. This role involves ensuring accounting deadlines are met and assisting in audits.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of local experience in Construction Industry preferred.
  • Ability to communicate with Mandarin speaking clients and suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain & manage full sets of accounts.
  • Prepare & submit quarterly GST returns.
  • Reconciliation of accounts.
  • Preparing monthly management reports.
  • Prepare and update collection from cash, cheques, telegrahic transfer and GIRO.
  • Handle Petty Cash.
  • Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses.
  • Issuing of sales invoices.
  • Filing of AIS.
  • Assist in yearly audit and tax computation.
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax agents.
  • Ensure accounting deadlines are met.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.
