Job summary

A leading financial services company in Singapore is seeking an experienced Accountant to oversee month-end accounts closing and ensure compliance with Singapore IRAS and Malaysia MySST. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Finance or Accounting, with a minimum of 2 years experience, preferably at a Big 4 firm. Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Cantonese are required, along with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Infrequent travel to Singapore may be needed.

  • University graduate in Finance or Accounting with a professional accounting qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years working experience, preferably with Big 4 background.
  • Solid experience in Singapore IRAS & Malaysia MySST compliance is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing month end accounts closing and consolidation, financial and management report.
  • Liaising with auditors and tax representatives regarding audit and tax matters.
  • Working with the Hong Kong & Malaysia teams to ensure accurate transactions.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • To assist in overseeing and preparing month end accounts closing and consolidation, financial and management report, forecast and financial analysis;
  • To liaise with auditors, tax representatives and professionals regarding audit, tax and other relevant matters;
  • To work closely with the Hong Kong & Malaysia teams to ensure all transactions are recognized accurately and timely;
  • To co-ordinate with operation and internal IT teams on daily operations and to help solving work related issues;
  • To handle tax filing;
  • To assist in company secretarial matters; and
  • To work with development team to enhance the financial consolidation system
  • To handle ad hoc assignment as requested.
Requirements
  • University graduate in Finance or Accounting with professional accounting qualification;
  • Minimum 2 years working experience, with Big 4 background;
  • Solid experience in Singapore IRAS & Malaysia MySST compliance is an advantage;
  • Out-going, independent, self-motivated, strong interpersonal and communication skills, can work under pressure;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Cantonese;
  • Infrequent travel to Singapore is required;
  • Candidates who have less experience will as Accountant.
