Position: Accounting and Admin Assistant Manager (Japanese speaking) Job ID: 19854- CK
Salary: Basic up to $4,800 + AWS + VB 2 months

Hybrid working arrangement

Responsibilities
  1. Accounting & Taxation: Responsible for accounting and tax-related tasks, including journal entries for payments and remittances, preparation of corporate tax filings, financial statements, audit documentation, and reporting to the Japan headquarters. Perform review and validation (double-checking) of accounting and tax deliverables. Communicate with the Tokyo headquarters, external accounting firms, and other relevant professionals. Handle approval requests to expatriates.
  2. Expatriate Support: Provide administrative support related to expatriates, including procedures for personal income tax, visa applications, business travel expense reimbursements, and coordination with external vendors upon repatriation to Japan. Manage the Managing Director's schedule and appointments.
  3. Internal Administration and IT Support: Maintain internal records and ledgers necessary for internal control and compliance. Maintenance of IT equipment and coordinate with external IT vendors for related services.
  4. General Administrative Support: Provide general administrative assistance to ensure the efficient operation of the office, including filing, photocopying, and other clerical tasks. Handle reception duties such as greeting and assisting visitors.
Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of remittances, journal entries, etc.
  • Level 3 bookkeeping knowledge
  • Communication with the Japanese headquarters (primarily via email) will be required for accounting reports, etc.
  • Good writing skills and basic knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Fluency in Japanese as this role needs to communicate in Japanese with Japan HQ and liaise with Japanese clients.
