Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and meticulous Accountant/Senior Accountant to oversee daily accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and audit activities. This role requires strong technical knowledge in financial reporting standards, experience in managing a small team, and the ability to ensure financial and regulatory compliance across regions, particularly with exposure to Vietnam accounting practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the daily operations of the accounting team to ensure smooth financial processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain accurate and complete financial records in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Ensure adherence to Vietnam Accounting Standards and relevant financial legislation, where applicable.
- Support and participate in internal, external, and government audit activities.
- Oversee tax compliance matters including e-invoicing, Corporate Income Tax (CIT), and Foreign Contractor Tax (FCT).
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all tax-related matters.
- Take the lead in financial and tax audits, ensuring timely preparation and response to audit requirements.
- Implement and monitor key financial controls to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
- Identify and recommend improvements to internal controls, systems, and processes.
- Lead, mentor, and support the professional development of the accounting team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve financial issues and support improvement initiatives.
- Handle ad-hoc financial tasks and projects as required.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in handling full set of accounts.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior accounting position, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Solid knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Familiarity with Vietnam Accounting Standards is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong leadership, time management, and organizational abilities.
- Proficient in financial systems and Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
