Scope of Work
The Billing Transformation Lead will be responsible for driving end-to-end transformation of our billing processes across the company and its external stakeholders, including public healthcare clusters and related agencies. This role will combine strategic oversight with hands‑on problem solving, ensuring billing operations are simplified, automated and future‑ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Billing Model Analysis & Design
- Develop a strong understanding of multiple billing models across different business units and public healthcare entities.
- Assess current processes, identify pain points, and design simplified, standardized and scalable billing frameworks.
- Develop process documentation of financial processes and procedures to ensure consistency and accountability.
- Project & Change Management
- Lead cross‑functional project management efforts, ensuring delivery of billing transformation initiatives on time and within scope.
- Drive stakeholder engagement, including finance billing personnel, corporate IT, and external public healthcare clusters and agencies, to secure alignment and adoption.
- Implement structured change management approaches to embed new processes and systems.
- Solutioning & Execution
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial operations, improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Propose best practices and innovative solutions to address process inefficiencies, including automation and robotic process automation (RPA).
- Collaborate with IT and Finance teams to design, configure, and roll out new digital tools or process changes.
- Ensure robust process controls, governance, and compliance within billing workflows.
- Billing and Revenue Operational Activities
- Provide support and communicate all issues pertaining to the application of complex business rules and recommend appropriate solutions.
Preferred Requirements
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
- Minimum eight years of related work experience in accounting operations / controllership functions, preferably with exposure to IT organisations and / or audit experience in a Big 4 firm.
- Having led transformation / process streamlining programs will have an added advantage.
- Understanding the importance of data and possessing analytical skills that allow for the development of data‑driven reports.
- Technical aptitude / ability to utilize technology (e.g., Excel, Power BI, ERP systems, RPA, AI) to drive efficiency.
- Experience in SAP and other data analysis programs would be a plus.
- Ability to zoom out to the big picture while being detail‑oriented in execution.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate complex issues into actionable solutions.
- Strong project management and change management capabilities, including stakeholder engagement across multiple internal and external entities.
- Familiarity with governance, compliance and reporting requirements in a public sector or healthcare‑related environment.
- Strategic thinker with a hands‑on, practical approach.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with both senior leaders and operational staff.
