About the Role:

We're looking for a talented Account Executive (AE), who will be responsible for prospecting and closing new business within an assigned territory. The AE will identify, nurture and close opportunities with both new and existing customers, manage forecasts and track customer data. The AE will work cooperatively with internal departments to improve the velocity of business and to create solutions that serve the best interests of our customers at Planet Labs.

This is a full‑time, remote position based in Australia, Singapore or Japan. If located near an office, you are expected to work from that office 3 days per week.

Impact You’ll Own:
  • Prospect, develop, and close a continuous pipeline of opportunities
  • Maintain account and opportunity information in Salesforce.com
  • Forecast business and sales pipeline as required by management
  • Up and cross‑sell opportunities, probe for additional contacts with projects/opportunities
  • Achieve and surpass all stated goals for the position
  • Work with Marketing to conduct seminars, assist with trade shows, and other marketing related events
What You Bring:
  • 2+ years of experience in closing sales
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Relevant experience in the Defense industry
  • Experience coordinating small to medium transactions
  • Experience working within a quota and commission structure
  • Fluency in English, the language of our company
  • Experience using Salesforce.com
  • A track record of overachieving Sales goals
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be self‑motivated and have a results‑oriented approach
What Makes You Stand Out:
  • Track record overachieving quota within a B2B Daas/SaaS sales cycle
  • Experience with Maritime or Monitoring based Analytic Use Cases service the defense industry
  • Territory Account Management experience
  • Understanding of MEDDPICC and Command of the Message methodologies
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Groove, Pathfactory and email automation tools
  • Domain expertise in GEOINT, satellite imaging, or remote imaging. Previous vertical selling to defense or national security based ministries or agencies
  • Experience in a matrix environment
