Job description

Responsible for managing a dynamic Healthcare System database environment to meet the evolving needs of a growing enterprise and performing high-level tasks related to troubleshooting, configuration, and maintenance, ensuring the security and optimal functioning of the Systems Database.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

• Establishes and maintains a change management process for the Systems Database.
• Plans, installs, configures, and thoroughly tests Systems Database configurations.
• Identifies the server, network, and capacity requirements essential for the smooth operation of the Systems Database.
• Defines and implements necessary maintenance procedures for the Systems Database.
• Provides technical support and troubleshooting services for databases, including Level 3 support for issues escalated from Informatics Systems Operations.
• Oversees the implementation of new database solutions.
• Follows prescribed system safety and security procedures of the computing environment.
• Follows all Hospital’s related Policies and Procedures.

Education

Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or other related discipline is required.

Experience Required

Three (3) years of related experience with a Master’s, or five (5) years with a Bachelor’s Degree is required.
