A Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial setting are required for this role.

Job Purpose

To lead and execute instrumentation maintenance and reliability activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations across the phosphate plant. The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting reliability improvement initiatives for instrumentation systems.

Key Accountabilities
  • Maintenance & Reliability:
    • Perform routine and non-routine maintenance of instrumentation systems, including analyzers, control systems, and field instruments.
    • Conduct failure analysis, root cause investigations (RCA), and implement corrective actions.
    • Ensure compliance with reliability-centered maintenance programs and company standards.
  • Project & Commissioning Support:
    • Participate in commissioning of new instrumentation systems and ensure proper site acceptance testing.
    • Review and approve technical documentation, calibration certificates, and maintenance manuals.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Adhere to all safety procedures and ensure safe use of tools and equipment.
    • Comply with Integrated Management System (IMS) standards and environmental requirements.
  • Coordination & Communication:
    • Collaborate with E&I support teams, operations, and contractors for smooth execution of work.
    • Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance staff.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, calibration reports, and spare parts usage.
    • Prepare reports on equipment performance and recommend improvements for reliability.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering.
  • Certifications: CMRP or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in instrumentation maintenance within industrial plants (preferably phosphate or similar process industries).
