Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a SAS Engineer, located in KSA. The SAS Engineer will be responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining statistical programming solutions. Daily tasks include data management, implementing statistical methods, performing analyses, and creating reports to support business objectives. The role involves collaboration with cross‑functional teams to implement best practices in data and programming methodologies.

Detailed Job Description
Station‑Level Device Configurations
  • Industrial PC setups and automation software installations.
  • Station‑level & bay‑level Ethernet switch configurations.
  • GPS configurations.
  • Router configurations.
  • Network interface parameterization for all station‑level devices.
  • BCU configurations, protection relay configurations, and SAS parameterizations. SCD/CID file creations as per the station requirements.
  • BCU’s and Protection as follows.
HMI configurations

HMI design for different voltage levels: 380/132/110/33/13.8 kV. Based on substation requirements the following HMI graphic design carried out

  • Architecture which includes all station‑level devices, interfaces
  • Single Line Diagram
  • Detail bay view
  • ACCS, ABTs control view
  • Alarms/events preparation as per SAS point list
  • Navigation menus / button configurations
  • Measurement normalization
Gateway configurations
  • Signals, Indications, Command filtering & naming
  • Signal grouping as per SAS point List
  • Measurement normalizations
  • Gateway IEC 101, 104 channel configurations
  • IEC 101 and IEC 104 signals address
Site Acceptance Test and Factory acceptance Test
  • SAS panel device installation, device data as per scheme drawing
  • All SAS device connections and communication check with HMI
  • Network switch individual port performance check
  • BCU interlock test
  • The switch devices command checks from BCU/HMI/Gateway
Close-loop and Open-loop Test
  • Gateway individual group signals check as per SAS point list
  • As per SAS point list, all bay controller alarms, indications, commands & Measurement tests in HMI & Gateway
  • All voltage level bay’s interlock table preparation in HMI and testing
  • Close Loop Test Preparation.
Qualifications

Required Experience: 3–5 years

KSA Experience: 7 years

Education: Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical & Electronics

Technical experience & certification: Substation protection, anything related to automation such as industrial or substation.
