Job summary

A leading HVAC manufacturing firm in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager. This role will lead QA/QC activities ensuring that products meet industry standards and customer requirements. Responsibilities include developing QA policies, supervising inspections, managing non-conformities, and acting as the primary interface with customers regarding quality issues. The ideal candidate has a degree in Mechanical or HVAC Engineering and 10 years of relevant QA/QC experience. Job description
Job Purpose

To lead and manage all Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities in the HVAC coil manufacturing facility, ensuring products comply with customer requirements, industry standards (ASHRAE, ISO), and regulatory guidelines while driving continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Quality Assurance Leadership
    • Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC policies, procedures, and standards.
    • Act as process owner for all quality-related systems and activities.
    • Establish detailed quality guidelines and acceptance criteria for production.
    • Implement and manage the Quality Management System (QMS), including incidents, corrective actions, and improvements.
    • Define and monitor quality metrics for all manufacturing processes.
  2. Team Management
    • Lead, manage, and mentor the QA/QC team (inspectors, technicians, auditors).
    • Align QC manpower according to production shifts and schedules.
    • Build a strong quality-focused culture across the organization.
    • Conduct regular training on quality standards, inspection methods, and safety.
  3. Inspection & Testing
    • Develop, review, and approve inspection and testing procedures.
    • Supervise and conduct:
      • Inward material inspections.
      • In-process inspections (Fins, Expanding, Brazing, Tube Sheet, CNC end plate grinding).
      • Leak testing, pressure testing, dimensional checks, and performance testing.
      • Painting, packing, and pre-dispatch inspections.
    • Ensure sample approvals, first setting reports, and final product validations.
    • Maintain finished goods and final packaging photographic records.
  4. Non-Conformance & Problem Solving
    • Identify, document, and manage non-conformities (NCRs).
    • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
    • Monitor scrap levels and analyze defects and rejections.
    • Prepare reports on malfunctions and corrective actions, e.g., defective raw material per order.
  5. Customer & Supplier Quality
    • Act as primary quality interface with customers.
    • Handle customer complaints and quality-related communications.
    • Support customer audits, inspections, and certifications.
    • Evaluate, approve, and audit suppliers based on quality requirements.
    • Coordinate incoming material inspections with suppliers.
  6. Quality Systems & Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, ISO 9001, and applicable regulatory standards.
    • Maintain ISO documentation and certification requirements.
    • Plan and conduct internal audits and support third-party audits.
    • Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance in all quality activities.
  7. Production & Maintenance Coordination
    • Work closely with production teams to embed quality in manufacturing processes.
    • Support process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Monitor the entire production cycle and identify potential quality risks early.
    • Coordinate quality checks during maintenance activities.
  8. Reporting & Performance Metrics
    • Prepare and present quality KPIs, dashboards, and monthly summaries.
    • Set and track quality improvement goals, e.g., reduce inspection turnaround time by 20%.
    • Analyze trends and recommend improvement actions to management.
  9. Housekeeping & Continuous Improvement
    • Monitor housekeeping standards in quality and production areas.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, HVAC, or Manufacturing Engineering.
