Overview
We are seeking a seasoned engineer with expertise in Production Accounting (Mass Balance) and Energy Performance accounting (Energy Balance) for the oil & gas or petrochemical industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle implementation, configuration, and support of the 2 solutions (Mass and Energy) to ensure accurate, auditable, and reconciled production mass and energy data.
Responsibilities
- Lead the deployment, configuration, and support of software platforms (e.g., Belsim Vali or equivalent).
- Implement robust data collection, validation, and reconciliation workflows integrating with DAHS, LIMS, SQL DBs, and other enterprise systems.
- Develop, validate, and maintain energy and production models covering key equipment: rotating machines, heaters, fired equipment, and heat exchangers.
- Manage audit trails and secure user access by defining and enforcing role-based permissions aligned with corporate security policies.
- Produce detailed and aggregated reports (daily, weekly, monthly, annual) on energy usage, production metrics, steam/fuel/power balances, and deviation analysis ("bad actors").
- Collaborate with process engineers, operations, and IT to troubleshoot data issues, ensuring timely and accurate reporting for management decision-making and regulatory compliance.
- Drive continuous improvements in data quality, system integration, and process alignment to support plant-wide energy efficiency initiatives.
- Provide user training, documentation, and support to facilitate adoption and efficient use of software platforms for Mass and Energy Balance.
- Support production accounting close processes, providing accurate reconciliations and insights into operational performance.
