Overview
The Logistics Lead is responsible for managing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain and logistics operations within Saudi Arabia. This role ensures the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of materials and finished goods, while maintaining compliance with Saudi customs regulations and supporting the company’s manufacturing and business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all logistics operations, including inbound and outbound shipments, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution within Saudi Arabia.
- Manage customs clearance processes for importing materials, with a focus on accurate HS code classification and compliance with Saudi regulations
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and products.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize transportation routes, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Monitor and analyze logistics KPIs such as delivery times, inventory accuracy, and transportation costs; identify and implement process improvements.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all shipments, customs processes, and inventory movements.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi health, safety, and environmental standards, as well as company policies.
- Support the setup and ongoing logistics needs of manufacturing operations, including factories focused on geodesic domes and oil industry components
- Lead, train, and develop the logistics team to achieve operational excellence.
- Collaborate with business partners and stakeholders to support new ventures and partnerships within Saudi Arabia
Qualifications And Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably within Saudi Arabia or the GCC region.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi customs clearance procedures, import/export regulations, and HS code classification
- Experience with logistics software, ERP systems, and inventory management tools.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities; fluency in English required, Arabic is an advantage.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Familiarity with logistics requirements for manufacturing and industrial sectors is highly desirable.
