The Lead Mechanical Engineer will provide technical leadership for mechanical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, translating design requirements, statutory obligations, and engineering standards into safe and buildable solutions. The position combines construction oversight with design review, inspection, MEP coordination, risk management, contractor engagement, and team leadership. By maintaining control over mechanical quality, interfaces, schedules, and technical decisions, the role contributes directly to reliable project delivery and long-term facility performance.
The position requires a Bachelor 's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 14 years of progressively responsible mechanical engineering experience, with a strong concentration on construction oversight. Experience delivering stadiums, major public venues, or similarly complex facilities is strongly preferred, while previous work within a PMC environment would provide a significant advantage. Candidates should possess detailed knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and wider MEP interfaces together with the ability to interpret building codes and engineering standards. Professional MMUP Engineer Registration - UPDA certification is preferred. The successful engineer will be comfortable leading multidisciplinary technical discussions, resolving difficult site and design issues, reviewing contractor work, managing priorities, and communicating engineering decisions to clients and project stakeholders. Strong familiarity with ERP environments and SAP functional processes is also required.
