Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary design deliverables across multiple concurrent projects.
• Oversee the preparation of drawings, calculations, reports, specifications, schedules, and tender packages.
• Develop and implement resource plans in coordination with project managers and discipline leaders.
• Review discipline staffing budgets, resource forecasts, and assignment schedules.
• Maintain suitable staffing levels, including temporary personnel when project requirements increase.
• Monitor design quality, productivity, and progress against approved schedules and delivery targets.
• Ensure technical production requirements and client expectations are consistently achieved.
• Establish discipline standards, procedures, technical manuals, and quality-control processes.
• Recommend improvements to departmental workflows and design management procedures.
• Support recruitment, technical interviews, candidate assessments, and employee selection.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching, counselling, and corrective guidance when required.
• Ensure new employees receive appropriate orientation on company policies, procedures, systems, and quality expectations.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline.
• More than 20 years of professional engineering and design experience.
• At least 10 years of technical coordination experience involving site infrastructure and landscape projects.
• Proven success managing multidisciplinary design teams on major developments.
• Strong ability to control several design packages and technical submissions simultaneously.
• Extensive knowledge of engineering codes, authority requirements, regulatory frameworks, and technical standards.
• Experience preparing and reviewing detailed design documentation and tender packages.
• Strong understanding of technical assurance, design quality, constructability, and value engineering.
• Ability to manage staffing plans, design resources, budgets, and team performance.
