The Career Nest in Al Khobar is seeking a Junior Pastry Sous Chef to support the Head Pastry Chef in managing the pastry section. You will oversee daily production, from viennoiserie to plated desserts, while upholding uncompromising quality and presentation.

Required: 3–5 years pastry experience, 2–3 years as Chef de Partie Pastry or senior pastry cook in fine dining; English fluency is mandatory; French or European language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of dedicated pastry experience.
• 2–3 years as Chef de Partie Pastry or senior pastry cook in fine dining or upscale restaurant setting.
• Strong knowledge of viennoiserie, doughs, creams, chocolate work and fillings.
• English fluency mandatory; French or another European language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute classic and contemporary pastry techniques with precision and presentation.
• Mentor and develop the pastry team; maintain discipline during busy services.
• Lead the section in the Head Pastry Chef's absence with confidence.
• Plan daily production; monitor shelf life; maintain FIFO and labeling standards.
• Ensure hygiene, quality and workspace safety; manage costs and waste.
