Job summary

Career Nest Academy is recruiting a Junior Pastry Sous Chef in Al Khobar to support the Head Pastry Chef. You will manage daily pastry production, from viennoiserie to plated desserts, while upholding uncompromising quality and leading the team in the Head Pastry Chef’s absence.

Ideal applicants have 3–5 years pastry experience, with 2–3 years in a higher role within fine dining, strong knowledge of shelf life and allergen controls, and English fluency. French skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of dedicated pastry experience, including 2–3 years as Chef de Partie Pastry or senior pastry cook.
• Strong foundation in viennoiserie, doughs, creams, chocolate work and fillings.

Responsibilities

• Execute classic and contemporary pastry techniques with precision and presentation.
• Lead and mentor the pastry team; maintain discipline during busy service.
• Plan daily production; monitor shelf life and labeling; manage freezing/defrosting.
• Ensure hygiene, quality and safety; maintain workspace cleanliness.
• Monitor stock, control portions and minimize waste while preserving quality.
