The ideal candidate should have a BSECE degree and at least 5 years of experience in instrumentation and control within the Oil and Gas sector. Familiarity with engineering software such as AutoCAD and PDS is crucial. The role involves preparation of detailed design packages, specifications, and collaboration with vendors to ensure project success. KSA experience is an advantage, alongside knowledge of international standards.

Experience (minimum)

Instrument design Engineer work with minimum 5 years (oil & gas - seawater desalination - industrial). Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Office and AutoCAD. Have extensive training in Plant Design System (PDS) Environment, MicroStation, INtools, CompleteIT, and SmartPlant 3D (SP3D) Environment. Had been involved in the feed package preparation for Control Systems.

Description of Duties

Review scope with Lead Engineer. An Instrument and Control Design Engineer should be a graduate of Bachelor of Science Degree in Instrumentation and Control, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.

Minimum 5 years design experience in the field of Instrumentation and Control Engineering, preferably in Oil and Gas, Petrochemical Industry. Work experience in a Design Consultancy Firm is preferable. Certification, such as Professional Engineer and Certified Professional is desirable. Should have a thorough knowledge of Engineering Practices, Calculation Methods, and Detailed Design related to field Instruments. Knowledge in Industry Codes and Standards applicable to Oil and Gas and Refining Industries (API, ISA, NEC, ASME, NFPA, etc.) are highly preferred. Knowledge in preparation of Engineering Design Package for installation of new Instruments as well as Modification / Upgrade Projects.

Prepare Instrument Specifications, Functional Specification Documents, Control Philosophy and Narratives and Scope of Works. Develop related drawings such as P&ID, Block Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams, Interconnection and Loop Diagrams, Cause & Effect and Logic Drawings. Prepare Material Take-off/Bill of Materials as per Project Requirements. Participation in HAZOP and SIL Sessions and ensure all issues are addressed. Experience in working closely with Vendors and Support Construction Clients. Knowledge in performing Technical BID Review and NMR Review System is an advantage.

Experience in Oil and Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, Power Plant Industry are Highly Preferred.

Experience in KSA, Saudi Aramco and International Standards is an advantage.

Experience in AutoCAD or MicroStation is a must.

Experience in any Instrumentation Software's (Instrument Sizing, Valve Sizing, etc.) are highly preferred.
