Job Purpose

Alfanar Building Systems (ABS) is seeking a skilled and innovative Robotics Engineer to join our R&D team. We are looking for a visionary individual who aims to be a game-changer in the industry, driving forward-thinking solutions and advancements. This role focuses on robotizing various construction functions within the housing and building industries, both at the factory and site setup levels. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing and developing automation and autonomous solutions, bringing fresh ideas to enhance our production operations and building systems.

Key Accountability Areas
  • Conducting thorough analyses of manufacturing processes to identify, schedule and plan the execution of Automation Projects to improve factory performance.
  • Conduct market research and evaluates similar products and their functions.
  • Define and estimating for all materials & equipment’s required for the project (mechanical, electrical, and industrial components)
  • Developing design documents for mechanical parts and final products to achieve desired functionality, performance and quality
  • Develop and maintain the control of the fully automated system
  • Hands-on prototyping and building up test stands to verify the developed systems and identify improvement potential
  • Conducting research, documentation findings, and presenting reports at meetings regularly.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, maintenance and external solution suppliers to ensure efficient production processes
  • Able to prioritize tasks and to manage workloads in an effective manner with minimal direct supervision and flexibility in managing multiple and diverse tasks.
  • Stay update on industry trends and advancements in the applied technologies
Role Accountability
  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechatronics Engineering
  • Proficiency in MS office applications
  • Strong critical thinking, oral and written communication skills
  • High interest on practical R&D experimentation, testing and validation
  • Professional Mechatronics engineer, with years of proven experience in designing and hands on implementing automation solutions in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge in electronic components commonly used in mechatronic systems, such as sensors, actuators, microcontrollers, and integrated circuits.
  • Familiarity with common communication protocols including TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, Modbus.
  • Proficiency in programming PLC, Microcontrollers, and Embedded systems, with strong knowledge in Programming languages (C/C++, Python)
  • Experience using ROS for simulation and developing robot software
  • Experience in CAD software (e.g. Solidworks – Autocad)
  • Familiarity with using manufacturing tools such as Mills, Drills, Turning machining, CNC and similar tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and present technical information clearly and persuasively.
