Eram Talent is looking for a talented and detail‑oriented Design Engineer – Mechanical to join our dynamic team in Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, planning, and review of all technical packages related to mechanical engineering, including major equipment such as chillers, pumps, motors, air‑handling units, cooling tower cells, refrigerant management systems, air conditioning, ventilation, and cooling. You will conduct technical assessments, engineering feasibility studies for enhancement or modification of existing facilities, and evaluate impacts on existing systems.

Responsibilities
  • Design, plan, and develop HVAC and mechanical systems for new and existing projects.
  • Prepare conceptual designs, technical assessments, and engineering documentation.
  • Review design drawings, material selections, and technical submittals for compliance with project requirements.
  • Develop Scope of Work (SOW), Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and system specifications for HVAC‑related projects.
  • Perform HVAC load calculations, duct sizing, and equipment selection using appropriate design software.
  • Conduct technical evaluations and feasibility studies for system upgrades or modifications.
  • Provide technical reports and recommendations for improvement of mechanical systems.
  • Act as a technical authority for mechanical design to ensure adherence to standards and best practices.
  • Offer engineering solutions for issues related to chillers, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors, and cooling towers.
  • Coordinate design activities with other engineering disciplines to ensure integration and efficiency.
  • Provide technical support during project execution, installation, and commissioning stages.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to resolve design or technical issues.
  • Ensure all designs comply with international codes and standards such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, IBC, ANSI, ASME, ASTM, ARI, SAES, and SAMSS.
  • Maintain and update design documentation as per organizational and international requirements.
  • Prepare and present technical assessments, feasibility reports, and engineering studies.
  • Support the Engineering Manager in monitoring capital project designs and performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5–6 years of experience in mechanical systems and HVAC design within large‑scale or industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC principles, heat load calculations, duct sizing, and equipment selection.
  • Proficiency in design software such as HAP, Carrier, AutoCAD, and Revit MEP.
  • Sound knowledge of international mechanical design codes and standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, ASME, etc.).
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and coordination abilities.
  • Detail‑oriented, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities and delivering results within deadlines.
