A recruitment agency in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Demand Planner to develop and maintain forecasts for supermarket products. Job description

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, maintain, and improve demand forecasts across all supermarket product categories using statistical models, historical sales data, and market insights.

- Collaborate with category managers, supply chain, and sales teams to align demand plans with business objectives and promotional activities.

- Monitor sales trends, seasonal demand patterns, and market dynamics to adjust forecasts and prevent stock-outs or overstocking.

- Ensure accurate inventory planning and replenishment strategies to achieve targeted service levels and minimize waste.

- Participate in S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) meetings, providing data-driven insights and recommendations.

- Track forecast accuracy, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.

- Coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams to ensure timely product availability.

- Prepare regular reports and dashboards for management on demand trends, forecast accuracy, and inventory status.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).

- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in demand planning, preferably in the retail or FMCG sector.

- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in demand planning tools, ERP systems, and advanced MS Excel.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments.

- Knowledge of supermarket operations, product assortment, and local market trends in KSA is highly desirable.

- Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are a plus
