Role Overview
Work closely with project managers to ensure that all budgeting, scheduling, and coordination processes run smoothly. Monitor the progress of a project to ensure that it is working within the confines of set deadlines and budget limitations and generate progress reports to managers. Make suggestions for improvements to project operations as needed.
Key Responsibilities

- Prepare cost control reports to management
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure cost control objectives are met
- Identify and mitigate financial risks related to project costs
- Implement cost control measures and monitor their effectiveness
- Recommends improvements to Department / Section policies and directs the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of Section activity so that all relevant procedural requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality and cost-effective service to internal customers.
- Prepares and recommends the department / section budget by preparing analysis and data related to specific elements as directed.
- Monitors the financial performance of the section against budgets so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly, and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
- Ensures all staff have clear objectives, regular performance feedback sessions, formal annual appraisals, and development plans, with particular emphasis on the development of talented staff.
- Ensures and facilitates the employment, training, and development of Saudi nationals within the organization.
- Stimulates subordinates and contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
- Ensures compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, and a responsible environmental attitude.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or other relevant discipline
- Minimum 12 years of Experience in construction out of that 12 years In Cost Control processes and management
- Candidate must be proficient with cost management, industry-standard estimating, project control software, and should be familiar with the scheduling process.
- Excellent English Language Skills.
Excellent knowledge of construction projects Cost management software and MS Office Software.
