Construction Steel Structures Supervisor

Rotation of 60 days on site and 10 days off (paid)& 2 days traveling (paid)

Tecnimont and Tecnimont Arabia Limited have beenawarded two lump-sum turn-key EPC contracts related to a petrochemicalexpansion at the SATORP Refinery (a JV composed of Saudi Aramco and TotalEnergies), in Jubail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The overall value of the contracts isapproximately USD 2 billion. The contracts relate to the execution of twopackages of the complex, namely the “Derivatives Units” package - whichincludes a butadiene extraction unit, an olefin extraction unit, a methyltert-butyl ether unit, a butadiene selective hydrogenation unit, a 2nd stagepygas hydrogenation unit and benzene & toluene extraction unit - and the“High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) & Logistic Area” package, whichincludes two polyethylene units and the relevant product logistic facilities.

The project’s scope of work entails completeengineering services, equipment and material supply, construction activities,pre-commissioning, and commissioning, and shall have a duration ofapproximately 4 years.

He directs Subcontractor activities for his owndiscipline, ensuring that Plant Construction works are performed according tothe erection schedules and Project documents, within the assigned costbudget, and according to Quality & Safety procedures, as well asaccording to the terms and conditions of the subcontract. One or moreassistants may support him.

Duties and responsibilities

• Prior to the start of works, to check the Supplier’s material andtechnical documentation delivery schedule. Check that the same is inline with Construction schedules and contractual commitments.
• Prior to he starts of works, control and approve the MethodStatements submitted by the Subcontractors, ensuring their correctapplication on the field.
• He ensures the implementation of all the HSE procedures andstandards for the areas or activities (subcontractors) ofresponsibilities.
• He directly participates to the HSE activities at site as definedfor his position in the Site HSE plan and related procedures
• To check that the said schedule is kept to, and to promote actionto recover any delay.
• To check that the equipment and manpower employed by theSubcontractor are adequate and that the works performed by theSubcontractor conform to design documents, Safety regulations, and tothe Quality level fixed by the same.
• Perform inspections and sign the necessary certificates as perSite Inspection Plans.
• To prepare the non-conformity register for each Subcontractor andco-ordinate nonconformity resolution.
• To detect any design errors, and where possible rectify the sameor request the Site Engineer to make the necessary changes.
• To check Subcontractors’ work progress status sheets and sign thesame for approval.
• To assist the Contract Manager/Engineer in defining new prices,in preparing amendments to subcontracts and in analysing and discussingclaims.

Knowledge & Qualifications

• University degree ordiploma in relevant discipline or equivalent.

Experience

• Significant experience inthe industrial construction of large or XL gas plants.
• Covered a similar role inat least 2-3 projects of comparable size.
• A minimum of 8 years ofrelevant experience.
• Experience working on theContractor side.
