Tecnimont and Tecnimont Arabia Limited have been awarded two lump-sum EPC contracts for a petrochemical expansion at the SATORP Refinery in Jubail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The project includes Derivatives Units and HDPE & Logistics Area, valued around USD 2 billion, spanning engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning over ~4 years.

One supervisor reports to the Construction Manager and directs subcontractor activities, ensuring works align with schedules,

Qualifications

• University Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline.
• 5–7 years of experience in a construction discipline.
• Experience working on contractor side.

Responsibilities

• Check the Supplier’s material and technical documentation delivery schedule.
• Ensure alignment with Construction schedules and contractual commitments.
• Review Method Statements submitted by Subcontractors for field application.
• Enforce the implementation of HSE procedures and standards on site.
• Participate in Site HSE activities and monitor to recover delays.
• Verify subcontractor equipment and manpower meet design and safety requirements.
• Prepare and sign the non-conformity register and coordinate resolutions.
• Assist in defining new prices and amendments to subcontracts; discuss claims.

JobSummary/Role Description

Tecnimont and Tecnimont ArabiaLimited have been awarded two lump-sum turn-key EPC contracts related to apetrochemical expansion at the SATORP Refinery (a JV composed of Saudi Aramcoand Total Energies), in Jubail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The overall value of thecontracts is approximately USD 2 billion. The contracts relate to theexecution of two packages of the complex, namely the “Derivatives Units”package - which includes a butadiene extraction unit, an olefin extractionunit, a methyl tert-butyl ether unit, a butadiene selective hydrogenationunit, a 2nd stage pygas hydrogenation unit and benzene & tolueneextraction unit - and the “High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) & LogisticArea” package, which includes two polyethylene units and the relevant productlogistic facilities. The project’s scope of workentails complete engineering services, equipment and material supply,construction activities, pre-commissioning, and commissioning, and shall havea duration of approximately 4 years.

EachSupervisor reports to the Construction Manager. Hedirects Subcontractor activities for his own discipline, ensuring that PlantConstruction works are performed according to the erection schedules andProject documents, within the assigned cost budget, and according to Quality& Safety procedures, as well as according to the terms and conditions ofthe subcontract. Oneor more assistants may support him.

Duties and responsibilities

• Prior to the start ofworks, to check the Supplier’s material and technical documentationdelivery schedule.
• Check that the same is inline with Construction schedules and contractual commitments.
• Prior to the start ofworks, control and approve the Method Statements submitted by theSubcontractors, ensuring their correct application on the field.
• He ensures theimplementation of all the HSE procedures and standards for the areas oractivities (subcontractors) of responsibilities.
• He directly participates tothe HSE activities at site as defined for his position in the Site HSEplan and related procedures to check that the said schedule is kept to,and to promote action to recover any delay.
• To check that the equipmentand manpower employed by the Subcontractor are adequate and that the worksperformed by the Subcontractor conform to design documents, Safetyregulations, and to the Quality level fixed by the same.
• Perform inspections andsign the necessary certificates as per Site Inspection Plans.
• To prepare thenon-conformity register for each Subcontractor and co-ordinatenonconformity resolution.
• To detect any designerrors, and where possible rectify the same or request the Site Engineerto make the necessary changes.
• To check Subcontractors’work progress status sheets and sign the same for approval.
• To assist the ContractManager/Engineer in defining new prices, in preparing amendments tosubcontracts and in analyzing and discussing claims.

• University Degree orDiploma in relevant discipline or equivalent.

Experience

• At least 5-7 years ofexperience in a specific discipline.
• Similar role covered inprojects that are of a comparable size.
• Experience working onContractor side.
