Job description

Commercial Director with a proven track record in managing large-scale projects for leading main contractors. The ideal candidate will possess strong client-facing skills, exceptional contractual and commercial and the ability to manage multiple interfaces across stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all commercial aspects of large-scale construction projects.
  • Oversee upstream contract administration, ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
  • Manage and secure contractual entitlements, including change management, claims, and extensions of time (EOT) preparation, negotiation, and agreement.
  • Prepare and review contractual letters and correspondences with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Liaise effectively with multiple stakeholders including Employers, Consultants, and JV partners to resolve contractual matters.
  • Conduct detailed delay analysis and provide expert guidance on time-related claims.
  • Provide strategic commercial advice to senior management and contribute to project decision-making.
  • Monitor project budgets, risks, and commercial performance to ensure optimal outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, with significant experience working for main contractors on large-scale projects.
  • Proven track record in managing complex commercial and contractual matters.
  • Extensive experience in claims preparation, change management, and EOT processes.
  • Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong written communication skills, particularly in contractual correspondence.
  • In-depth understanding of delay analysis techniques.
