Job description
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  1. Provides effective care in the circulating role during elective and emergency procedures by assisting patients, physicians, and scrub technicians, in a prioritized fashion, assuring that all needs are completely satisfied.
  2. Performs control room duties with a working knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures involved in the operation of physiologic monitoring, angiographic/fluoroscopic imaging and digital analysis.
  3. Follows‑up in holding area after completion of procedures to facilitate quality patient care. Display consistent willingness to assist in other invasive functions and/or cross‑train in multiple areas, i.e., Electrophysiology study.
  4. Participates in support functions related to Cath lab operations, i.e., digital archiving of studies, clerical, filing, supply distribution, patient transport, etc. Recognize the importance of such duties, which ultimately improves Cath lab efficiency, accomplishes departmental goals and enhances overall team performance.
  5. Exercises clear and concise communication throughout daily interactions. Communicates effectively with patients, physician, and co‑workers.
  6. Monitors, coordinates and obtains maintenance services for equipment issues.
  7. In the course of providing the care for the patient, all Cath lab Techs will perform the following duties under the supervision of a physician:
  8. A. Performs assessment to collect pertinent data.
  9. B. Anticipates and recognizes subtle changes in patient status.
  10. C. Includes the patient, significant others and other health care providers in data collection.
  11. D. Implements interventions in a manner to maintain patient dignity, privacy and safety.
  12. E. Demonstrates skillful responses to patient, family and colleague needs based on the specific need and the particular context of the situation.

  14. G. Documents interventions and ongoing evaluation of patient response to intervention.
  15. H. Identifies variances to expected outcomes and intervenes to make system changes to optimize patient outcomes.
  16. Operates imaging equipment such as fluoroscopy and digital radiography systems used during catheterization procedures and assists physicians during catheterization procedures by providing imaging support and ensuring high‑quality images are captured.
  17. Responsible for implementing radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to patients and staff. This includes using protective equipment and monitoring radiation doses.
  18. Conducts daily inspections and maintains imaging equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.
  19. Sets up, calibrates, and troubleshoots imaging any technical issues that arise with imaging equipment during procedures, ensuring that operations run smoothly.
  20. Records detailed procedural information, including patient reactions, medication administration, and any complications.
  21. Prepares post‑procedure documentation and reports as required and confirms that link in Yasasii system.
  22. Other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibility and requirements of the job.

Job Requirements:
  1. Minimum of 3 years of experience.
  2. Bachelor of Science degree in Cardiovascular or equivalently accredited Health program.
  3. License for practice as per the regional health regulatory authority e.g. (SCFHS / DHA), BLS and ACLS.
