Job summary
A leading paint manufacturing company in Johor Bahru is seeking a qualified individual with at least 5 years of experience in purchasing and logistics. The candidate will be responsible for preparing and submitting customs documents, ensuring compliance with local laws, and liaising with relevant authorities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. This position offers opportunities for professional growth and development in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing, logistics, and local customs laws.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, verify, and submit import/export documents for all shipments.
- Ensure compliance with local customs laws and regulations.
- Liaise with freight forwarders and customs officers.
- Maintain records and track delivery progress.
Skills
Education
- Prepare, verify and submit import/export documents (e.g. K1, K2, K8, DG declarations) for all shipments if needed.
- Ensure all documentation complies with local customs laws and regulations.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, customs officers and other relevant authorities.
- Stay informed of changes in customs rules, tariffs and HS codes.
- Ensure all documentation complies with local customs laws and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulation and proper documentation for Tax Exempted or duty draw back shipment and materials.
- Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation for tax compliance.
- Maintain records, track delivery progress, process orders, and input data into the system accurately base on custom format (Custom stock card).
- Maintaining accurate inventory records and regularly conducting stock audits.
- Assist purchasing function if any / arise by superior.
Diploma and above
5 year’s experience in purchasing, logistic and local custom laws ®
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
