A leading technology services company is seeking a Supplier Manager II to manage vendor relationships and negotiations. This role requires fluency in Spanish and English, along with a Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field. Responsibilities include optimizing customer relationships, coordinating supply agreements, and conducting market analysis. Formación

The Supplier Manager II at Rackspace Technology is responsible for managing the vendor relationship, negotiations, and works as a business partner with the company's departments.

Serves as the sole interface between the customer, Rackspace strategic sourcing team, and suppliers to ensure that sourcing needs are met.

Work Location : Remote

  • This role can work remotely in the states of Ciudad de Mexico, Jalisco, Nuevo Leon, Aguascalientes, Queretaro, Estado de Mexico and Puebla.
  • This opportunity is a permanent remote job, but you need to be based in Mexico at one of the above locations.
Responsibilities
  • Optimize internal customer relationships by building a solid rapport with everyone within the organization and managing global sourcing supplier relationships.
  • Enhance the procurement and supply chain processes throughout all entities (Domestic and International) by entering into global strategic sourcing partnerships.
  • Identify and take advantage of strategic sourcing opportunities and manage difficult situations to ensure that the Strategic sourcing team's reputation for Fanatical Support is upheld.
  • Maintain direct contact with internal customers throughout the entire supply chain with efforts to minimize cost, shorten delivery times, and maximize quality.
  • The focus of work may be in the whole supply chain from acquisition to disposal.
  • Lead, coordinate, and manage production supply and service agreements for the business.
  • Develop and process RFQ's, RFP's, PO requisitions and Partnership agreements.
  • Manage a Supplier Performance Scorecard program with critical suppliers and maintain company Approved Supplier List.
  • Establish alliances with key production suppliers and perform supplier site visits and audits as required.
  • Guide and assist team members on procurement best practices, procurement technology, and supplier relationship management practices.
  • Interface with internal customers with integrate procurement planning and budgeting process.
  • Develop and conduct market analysis and research that will help define commodity markets, analyze trends, competition, capacity and purchasing buying power.
Knowledge
  • Basic to expert knowledge of purchasing principles and practices.
  • Prior knowledge of a technology-based service-oriented industry is preferred.
  • Prior knowledge of Oracle is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English)
  • Experience in handling multiple tasks and the ability to prioritize and highly varied work level to maintain required productivity levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and qualities.
  • Basic understanding of supplier management techniques.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical info and ideas so others will understand.

Education / Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field required.
  • At the manager's discretion, equivalent additional experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
