Responsibilities

• Translate user stories and functional requirements into resilient & secure technical designs.
• Design, build and maintain high-quality technology solutions that deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Work with product owners to develop team roadmaps, prioritize features, and estimate effort levels.
• Focus on professional development through our wide array of learning opportunities for continued growth within the Office Depot team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years' experience coding in PHP.
• Experience guiding less‑experienced software engineers in collaboration with software development managers.
• Prior participation in software product architecture and design.

A working knowledge of

• 1 or more public cloud platforms.
• Application containerization (e.g. Kubernetes / Docker etc.).
• Symfony and / or Magento.
• Composer.
• Git.
• Unit tests, performance and integration tests (PHPUnit, jMeter / k6 & Postman / Newman).
• NoSQL DB (e.g. MongoDB).
• RDMS (e.g. MYSQL).
• RESTful APIs.
• Linux / Unix basics.

Nice to have

• Solr or Elastic Search.
• AKS (Kubernetes), Blob Storage.
• Experience with Service Now.
