Applications Developer:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Applications Development team at Marsh McLennan Companies. This role will be based in Mexico City. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications that enhance our client services and internal operations, specifically focusing on Icat Online, a critical quoting and policy management system.

We will count on you to:
  • Work with ICAT and our In-House development team to enhance and maintain the ICAT Online Ecosystem, which is based on Spring and Hibernate.
  • Design, expose, and consume APIs for internal and third-party services.
  • Conduct UI work, including workflow design and modifications to database schemas.
  • Assist with reporting and analytics design and implementation.
  • Code, test, debug software modules, and deploy using CI/CD practices.
  • Participate in peer code reviews and elevate problems as appropriate.
What you need to have:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 2-3 years of industry experience, or 2-3 years of industry experience without a four-year degree.
  • Proficiency in Full Stack Java development, including Spring application stack (Spring Boot or traditional Spring).
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as unit and integration testing using common Java testing tools (JUnit, Mockito, TestNG).

  • Experience in insurance or finance.
  • Familiarity with Spring Webflow and Wildfly Application Server.
  • Knowledge of Infinispan Distributed Caching.
