A global infrastructure technology company in Mexicali is seeking an experienced manufacturing manager to lead the development and implementation of manufacturing plans for new products. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and over 5 years of experience in manufacturing environments. Responsibilities include working with business leaders on product roadmaps, supporting technology transfers, and ensuring compliance with manufacturing standards. A strong emphasis on Lean and Six Sigma methodologies is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Line of Business Leaders to ensure manufacturing plans are aligned to Product Roadmaps.
  • Responsible for End of Line Testing Equipment, Parameters, scripts and Capex associated.
  • Lead, Develop and implement manufacturing plans for assigned new products according to NPDI program.
  • Lead and provide direct support for plant-to-plant product transfers and new product development programs.
  • Support Vertiv manufacturing operations using standard processes, equipment, and manufacturing methods.
  • Identify, justify, pilot, and commission Advanced Manufacturing technologies, processes, equipment, and practices. Capital projects that support Growth, NPDI, Product Transfers, Technical Capacity and Footprint associated.
  • Provide support for manufactured cost analyses of new and existing products.
  • Responsible for the execution of Manufacturing Readiness Checklist and deliverables of NPDI Process.
  • Leader for Manufacturing Prototype builds along with the local operation team to achieve 2 weeks LT.
  • Accountable and supportive role for Engineering Prototype builds with Design Engineering.
  • Actively intervenes in growth strategies for assigned BU, footprint and technical capacity definition – enables growth for Assembly, Fabrication, Testing, Infrastructure using latest simulation techniques, Digital Twin, Digital Factory.
  • Implement best manufacturing practices for existing processes and provide multi-site manufacturing engineering support.
  • Assist with business-critical capital projects including facility planning, layout, and cost justification.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Science in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Business Operations Management with 5+ years manufacturing experience.
  • Preferred – MSME/IE/MBA and 3+ years manufacturing experience.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma formal training or certifications.
  • PC working knowledge (MS Office, PDM system, CAD, Minitab).
  • Facility or Production Line Layout development (using AutoCAD or equivalent).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude; knowledge of assembly and fabrication processes.
  • Knowledge of design tools, methods, and new technologies; working knowledge of financial and business applications.
  • Skill in vendor analysis and negotiations; strong communication skills to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Effective use of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma process improvement tools.
  • Preferred: Material Requirements Planning proficiency (ERP/MRP software).
  • Preferred: Experience supporting manufacturing of system-level configured products (containing controls and an HMI).
  • Preferred: Experience compiling and submitting Capital Appropriation Requests (CARs).
Education And Certifications
  • Minimum: BS in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Business Operations Management and 5-7 years manufacturing experience.
  • Equivalent Professional Experience – 7 years of proven career and expertise.
  • Preferred: MSME/IE/MBA and 5+ years of Advanced Manufacturing experience.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma formal training or certifications.
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of formalized Advanced and Lean Manufacturing applications.
  • Extensive experience in New Product Development and Product Transfers.
  • Strong manufacturing toolset for line definition, work content, process control, material handling and flow, ergonomics, simulation and optimization techniques for existing processes.
  • Excellent vertical communication, interpersonal, and motivation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively; ability to coach, train, facilitate and lead teams effectively in a transformational work environment.
  • Demonstrated strong project management and technical skills; analytical skills; PC skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results through team building and teamwork; focus on execution and bias for action.
