Job Overview

Cashera Capital is expanding, and we are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing team in Mexico City. In this key role, you will ensure financial accuracy, provide strategic insights, and support scalable growth through effective accounting practices. Your expertise will help optimize systems and drive data‑informed decision‑making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Leadership & Strategy
• Prepare accurate financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and support month‑end/year‑end close processes, ensuring compliance with US GAAP.
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls to protect company assets and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance expense management and financial reporting transparency.

Technical Excellence

• Manage the general ledger in QuickBooks, including journal entries, accounts payable/receivable, expense categorization, revenue recognition.
• Lead process improvements and implement tech‑driven accounting solutions.

Qualifications

• You must be touching the books daily to be considered for this position.
• Role: requires experience with daily bank reconciliations, journal entries, inter‑company posting, managing the P&L as well as the balance sheet.
• MUST BE C1 OR C2 LEVEL OF ENGLISH.
• Strong Excel skills is a must (XLOOKUP, SUMIF, VLOOKUP, PIVOT TABLES, ETC).
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in the lending or financial services industry.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
