A leading technology firm in Jalisco is looking for a skilled Systems Administrator to manage production systems and optimize cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of experience in Linux system administration and a strong background in automation and performance improvement. Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash are essential, along with experience in highly available environments. This role includes responsibilities for troubleshooting, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Formación

• 4+ years of experience in systems administration.
• Experience in cloud or large-scale environments is preferable.
• Experience supporting mission-critical, highly available environments.

Responsabilidades

• Administer, monitor, and optimize production systems and databases.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and act as an escalation point.
• Lead cross-functional teams for resolution of infrastructure issues.
• Support infrastructure for database appliances focusing on performance.
• Participate in operating system upgrades and standardization initiatives.
• Continuously seek improvements for system resilience and scalability.
• Write and maintain documentation, including runbooks.
• Provide rotational on-call support for production systems.

Overview

This is a hands-on role that blends deep Linux systems expertise with automation and cloud infrastructure knowledge. You\'ll work with Oracle\u2019s advanced technologies, helping us support massive growth while maintaining uptime and performance at cloud scale. This role is ideal for someone with 4+ years of experience in systems administration and a passion for optimizing infrastructure at scale.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and optimize production systems and databases supporting global business operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, often acting as the escalation point for high-impact incidents.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and resources to drive resolution of critical infrastructure issues.
• Support infrastructure for Oracle systems and database appliances, focusing on performance, availability, and automation.
• Participate in operating system upgrades, bug fixes, patching, and infrastructure standardization initiatives.
• Continuously look for ways to improve system resilience, supportability, and scalability in a fast-growing environment.
• Write and maintain documentation, including runbooks and standard operating procedures.
• Provide rotational on-call support, helping maintain 24/7 uptime for production systems.

What WeFre Looking For

• Strong Linux system administration experience (preferably in cloud or large-scale environments)
• Solid scripting skills in Python and Bash/Shell
• Understanding of networking fundamentals
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and automation tools
• Experience supporting mission-critical, highly available environments.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to Oracle technologies or OCI
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines or infrastructure-as-code
• Familiarity with service-level objectives (SLOs), SLAs, and KPIs in a production setting
