Job Description

Objective:

The Procurement Indirects Manager is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for indirect spend categories such as Marketing, Trade Marketing, IT, HR, Facilities, Professional Services, Consultancy, Maintenance, Capex and related ZBB suppliers spend. This role establishes KPI’s, dashboards and methodologies to optimize operative workload to drive into a strategic and automation processes. Ensures cost optimization, supplier performance, risk mitigation, and alignment with internal stakeholders’ needs, ensuring to bring the best external supplier’s capabilities to cover Plant and offices requirements, adding value to all processes. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking and decision taking with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills at a local and regional/global vision.

The position will lead supplier selection and recommendation activities, including qualitative and quantitative analysis, selection criteria, RFI/RFP/RFQ development, the new supplier processes, and bid analysis to ensure the necessary services for logistics processes.

Key Activities/ Deliverables: (specify required outputs from the role)

Category Management:

Lead sourcing and category management for all indirect spending areas, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Strategic Sourcing:

Develop and implement sourcing strategies, including RFPs, RFQs, and contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with business goals.

Supplier Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. Monitor performance, ensure compliance with SLAs, and drive continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Marketing, IT, HR, Finance, Factory/Manufacturing) to understand requirements, align procurement strategies, and support business objectives.

Contract Management:

Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring favorable terms, risk mitigation, and compliance with company policies.

Data & Reporting:

Analyze spend data, track KPIs, and prepare reports to support decision-making and demonstrate value delivered.

Sustainability & Compliance:

Ensure procurement practices align with ESG goals, legal requirements, and internal policies.

Skills (Knowledge/ Capabilities):

  • Strategic Sourcing – Ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies for indirect categories.
  • Contract Negotiation – Skilled in negotiating commercial terms, service levels, and risk clauses.
  • Spend Analysis – Proficient in analyzing spend data to identify savings and optimization opportunities.
  • Supplier Management – Experience in supplier selection, onboarding, performance tracking, and relationship management.
  • Category Expertise – Deep knowledge of indirect categories such as IT, Marketing, HR, Facilities, and Professional Services.
  • Procurement Tools – Familiarity with platforms like SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle, or Jaggaer.
  • Cost Modeling – Ability to build and interpret cost models to support negotiations and decision‑making.
  • Budget Management – Understanding of budgeting processes and financial impact of procurement decisions.
  • KPI Development – Experience in defining and tracking procurement performance metrics.
  • 5–8 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on indirect categories.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Experience with procurement tools (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Experience in a multinational or matrixed organization.
  • Knowledge of contract law and risk management.
  • Familiarity with ESG and supplier diversity initiatives.
  • Role based in CDMX.
