A direct placement agency is seeking a Finance and Operations Senior Manager who will oversee financial and operational accounting for a growing consumer products brand. In this remote role, you will manage accounting for multiple vendors and ensure accurate inventory records. We are hiring a Finance and Operations Senior Manager to own both financial and operational accounting for a fast-growing consumer products brand. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who can independently manage accounting while supporting complex operational workflows tied to inventory, purchasing, and manufacturing.
The brand works with multiple suppliers per product, including different vendors for ingredients, packaging, and production. This role requires experience managing accounting and invoices across multi-vendor, multi-component manufacturing, not single-vendor setups. The ideal candidate brings strong CPG operational accounting experience and can step in with minimal coaching.
Own full‑cycle monthly close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
Maintain accurate general ledger and financial records across finance and operations
Prepare and review monthly financial statements for leadership
Manage accounts payable across multiple vendors, manufacturers, and service providers
Handle inventory accounting, including COGS, landed costs, and adjustments
Review and account for purchase orders, BOMs, and multi‑vendor inventory transactions
Reconcile inventory balances across ingredients, packaging, and finished goods
Support operational workflows tied to manufacturing, inventory movement, and cost accuracy
Identify discrepancies, risks, or process gaps and proactively recommend fixes
Partner closely with the founder and operations team on financial clarity and cash flow visibility
Accounting software (QuickBooks Online or similar)
Inventory, BOM, and purchase order tracking systems
Google Sheets or Excel (advanced proficiency)
Cloud‑based file storage and collaboration tools
3–5 years of freelancing experience
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills (C1 or C2 level)
4–7+ years of accounting experience within CPG, consumer products, or eCommerce
Proven experience managing multi‑vendor, multi‑component manufacturing accounting
Strong background in inventory accounting, BOMs, and purchase order workflows
Demonstrated ability to manage full‑cycle monthly close independently
High attention to detail with strong ownership and accountability
Comfortable working directly with a founder in a lean environment
Senior‑level judgment with minimal need for coaching
Monday to Friday, with some overlap with US business hours preferred
