Job Description

LAC’s Visa Commercial Solutions is looking for a highly motivated individual to lead product and platforms to enable B2B payments ecosystems in Mexico.

The Manager, VCS Mexico Product and Solutioning is responsible for managing and delivering solutions to solve the transaction management, purchasing, expense and accounts payable needs of all our Mexico Visa partners and their clients working closely with VCS Directors in Mexico, Business Development and other cross‑functional teams in local markets. This role requires a strong sense of ownership, vision, curiosity, critical thinking, Visa solutions knowledge, financial analytical skills, creative problem solving and thought leadership.

He/She will be part of LAC VCS Product and Solutioning Team and will work collaboratively with Mexico VCS Sales Team as well as other teams, ensuring alignment of market positioning across all areas of Visa Commercial Solutions.

This role will be responsible for planning, developing, and deploying new VCS products/features and enhancing existing capabilities. The incumbent will lead VCS Product initiatives in the Mexico region, including product management of the Product Ecosystem, core products enablement, data solutions, APIs solutions, payables solutions and services with a particular emphasis on supporting growth of VCS in Mexico.

The role involves working with the extended VCS Product Team to identify gaps and new requirements for innovative B2B payment solutions that meet issuer and end‑client needs in Mexico.

The role will require the talent to collaborate effectively in a matrixed environment while delivering on a strong, aligned approach with regional and local teams. In addition, the role will require business acumen, including sharp understanding of market trends, strategy, and financial matters. Product strategy and product management experience, understanding of product development, and the B2B payments landscape (Issuing, Acceptance, vertical and data management) are essential. Knowledge of Visa core products and compliance, as well as virtual account, payables, and expense‑management solutions is a plus.

Essential Functions
  • Become a subject‑matter expert, leveraging data, insights, and market research to understand and distribute key information regarding B2B commercial competitive landscape, trends, and portfolio performance across segments and verticals.
  • Strategize with partners on major initiatives and opportunities, leveraging customer interactions to identify new and enhanced products and services in Mexico.
  • Execute the Visa Commercial Solutions roadmap against overall commercial targets for all solution types and use cases in Mexico, using industry knowledge to drive new product opportunities for issuers and downstream clients.
  • Collaborate with local teams, VCS specialized sales, and Product & Solutioning teams to align product strategies in Mexico.
  • Interact with corporate/treasury banks, card issuers, acquirers, processors, and PSPs to understand their needs and pain points, supporting sales teams to articulate integral solutions and align value proposition and business case.
  • Communicate with business and technology, management and executive levels, internal and external, requiring strong abilities to align, prepare, and present complex concepts to target audiences, both verbally and in writing, as part of the sales process, thought leadership, training, and initiative execution.
  • Identify product gaps (VCS products and solutioning), assess market needs and competitive landscape, readiness, efforts, and requirements for delivery of new solutions and capabilities, working with key internal Visa stakeholders and leading efforts to drive progress including enhancement definition/specification, prioritization, release timing, communications, and all go‑to‑market activities.
  • Lead the definition and implementation of B2B products and capabilities that will drive growth of share and revenues from non‑traditional business payments and other emerging strategies.
  • Partner with internal and external constituencies to identify, research, and analyze new technology‑based products, services, and capabilities, providing input for concepts and enhancements.
  • Conduct cross‑functional interaction within Visa, including compliance, client readiness, legal, regulatory, risk, sales, marketing, product, investor relations, corporate development, corporate strategy, and technology.
  • Ensure all programs, projects, and initiatives comply with Visa's methodology and key controls, and that accurate and timely information is reported regularly on program progress and financial status.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a bachelor's degree, or at least 2 years of work experience with an advanced degree (e.g., masters, MBA, JD, MD), or 0 years of work experience with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6 or more years of work experience with a bachelor's degree, or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an advanced degree (e.g., masters, MBA, JD, MD), or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
  • Progressively responsible experience in product/solutions management. Understanding of card payments, platforms, systems integration, and digital payments and solutions.
  • Understanding of B2B payments and cash‑management solutions, B2B payments ecosystems, and business acumen.
  • Broad knowledge in payment technology, B2B solutions, data solutions, APIs, digital/electronic payment types including commercial card payments.
  • Understanding of product development, go‑to‑market, and the B2B payments landscape (issuing, acceptance, vertical and data management) and ecosystems.
  • Knowledge of solutions/technology expense management, digital payments, ERP, marketplaces, and new technologies.
  • Sharp understanding of business, including market trends, strategy, and financial matters to support solutions definition, business case, and proposal.
  • Strong results‑oriented leader, analytic and fact‑based consultative discipline.
  • Proven product‑management skills, product strategy, go‑to‑market activities, strong proactivity, attention to detail, and execution focus.
  • Creative aptitude to identify new ways to innovate and differentiate products with tangible business results.
  • Ability to structure, manage, and coordinate complex cross‑functional teams, including technical and non‑technical resources.
  • Ability to add value to customers through insightful questioning, new ideas, and solutions delivery.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish (written and verbal) with colleagues across functional areas, senior management, and clients. Portuguese is a plus.
