This Vice President role involves driving business performance and operational excellence for multinational subsidiary clients while managing relationships with senior stakeholders. The ideal candidate has over 8 years of corporate banking experience, strong financial analysis skills, and must be fluent in English. Knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese is preferred.

Overview

The Global Corporate Banking Business Manager will serve as a strategic partner to the Head of Latin America Subsidiary Banking and the regional leadership team. This role will lead end-to-end business management for a diverse portfolio of multinational subsidiary clients, ensuring alignment with the firm’s strategic priorities, financial objectives, and risk appetite.

As a Global Corporate Banking Business Manager Vice President you will be responsible for driving business performance, financial discipline, strategic initiatives, and operational excellence across multiple countries and product lines, working closely with senior stakeholders in Coverage, Credit, Product, Finance, and Control functions

Job Responsibilities
  • Partner with regional and country leadership to define and execute the Subsidiary Banking growth strategy in Latin America, aligned with global corporate banking objectives.
  • Develop annual business plans, financial targets, and market penetration strategies, focusing on wallet growth, cross-sell, and return optimization.
  • Identify emerging trends, client opportunities, and competitive positioning in the multinational subsidiary segment.
  • Own the financial oversight for the Subsidiary Banking portfolio, including P&L management, balance sheet optimization, revenue tracking, and expense discipline.
  • Monitor balances, ROE, capital usage (RWA), liquidity deployment, and cost allocation, ensuring profitability targets are met.
  • Build and maintain KPI dashboards to track banker productivity, client coverage effectiveness, and product penetration.
  • Partner with Coverage Bankers and Product Partners (Payments, Markets, Credit, Trade, and Liquidity) to deepen relationships with existing clients and capture new business opportunities.
  • Support client segmentation, prioritization, and pipeline reviews to ensure focus on high-potential, strategic accounts.
  • Ensure seamless execution of multi-product, cross-border deals by coordinating between local and global teams.
  • Maintain strong oversight on credit risk, operational risk, and compliance matters impacting the Subsidiary Banking business.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and interface with regional and global stakeholders including Finance, Strategy, Credit, Legal, Compliance, and Operations.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in Corporate Banking, Business Management, or Strategy roles, preferably in a multinational financial institution.
  • Strong understanding of corporate banking products (lending, liquidity, payments, markets, and trade finance).
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, capital management, and profitability metrics.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and ability to influence across multiple seniority levels and geographies.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Fluency in English required
