The Global Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) is a key member of the Executive Committee, responsible for defining, leading, and executing the company’s global commercial strategy across all channels and markets. The role carries full accountability for worldwide revenue growth, market expansion, channel performance, and commercial excellence, encompassing Retail, Wholesale, Franchise, and Digital (e-commerce and omnichannel) operations.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the CCO plays a critical role in shaping the company’s short-, medium-, and long-term growth agenda, ensuring strong alignment between commercial execution, brand positioning, financial objectives, and overall corporate strategy. The CCO leads a global commercial organization, balancing global consistency with local market needs, and acts as the voice of the customer at the executive level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Global Commercial Strategy & Planning
  • Elaborate, lead, and execute a global commercial plan and strategy for the short, medium, and long term, fully aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Define and implement the global commercial vision across all regions and channels.
  • Identify and capitalize on new growth opportunities, including market expansion, channel development, and strategic partnerships.
  • Translate corporate strategy into clear commercial priorities, execution roadmaps, and performance KPIs.
Channel Leadership & Performance
Retail (Owned & Operated Stores)
  • Define and lead the global retail strategy, including store network optimization, expansion, productivity, and customer experience.
  • Ensure strong retail execution, commercial effectiveness, and full omnichannel integration across all markets.
Wholesale
  • Develop and manage the global wholesale strategy, including partner segmentation, distribution models, pricing architecture, and margin optimization.
  • Build and strengthen long-term strategic relationships with key global and regional wholesale partners.
  • Directly manage and oversee strategic key accounts, including El Corte Inglés, ensuring strong partnerships, commercial performance, and optimal brand representation.
  • Ensure brand consistency and disciplined market execution across wholesale channels.
Franchise
  • Design, implement, and scale a robust global franchise model that ensures brand integrity, operational excellence, and financial performance.
  • Oversee franchisee selection, governance, performance management, and international expansion plans.
Digital & E-commerce
  • Lead the global digital and e-commerce strategy, including DTC platforms, marketplaces, and omnichannel initiatives.
  • Drive digital growth through traffic acquisition, conversion optimization, CRM, data analytics, and personalization.
  • Ensure seamless integration between digital and physical channels to deliver a best-in-class omnichannel customer journey.
Pricing, Promotions & Commercial Governance
  • Actively participate in pricing, discount, and promotional strategies, in close collaboration with Finance and Brand, ensuring full alignment with the company’s overall strategy.
  • Define global commercial frameworks and guidelines while allowing flexibility for local market dynamics.
  • Ensure disciplined execution of pricing and promotional actions to protect brand equity and profitability.
Financial Management & Budgeting
  • Full global commercial P&L responsibility, including revenue, gross margin, and commercial cost control.
  • Elaborate the annual global commercial budget covering all channels and markets, in coordination with Finance and regional teams.
  • Monitor performance versus budget, proactively managing risks and opportunities to deliver financial targets.
  • Drive operational efficiency and maximize return on investment across all commercial initiatives.
Customer, Brand & Market Insight
  • Champion a customer-centric approach across all commercial activities and decision-making.
  • Ensure a consistent, premium, and differentiated brand experience across all channels and geographies.
  • Leverage market intelligence, consumer insights, and data analytics to inform strategy, innovation, and execution.
LEADERSHIP & ORGANIZATION
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing global commercial organization across regions and channels.
  • Establish clear governance, accountability, and performance management frameworks.
  • Foster strong cross-functional collaboration with Brand, Marketing, Product, Supply Chain, Finance, Technology, and HR.
  • Develop top commercial talent, succession plans, and a strong performance-driven culture.
EXECUTIVE & STRATEGIC CONTRIBUTION
  • Actively contribute as a member of the Executive Committee, influencing enterprise-wide strategy, transformation, and long-term planning.
  • Provide the CEO and Board with clear insights on market trends, competitive dynamics, and commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Act as a strategic partner to the CEO in driving growth, change management, and organizational alignment.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS
  • University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or a related field;
    an MBA or equivalent executive education is highly valued.
  • Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in senior commercial, revenue, or marketing leadership roles within complex, international organizations.
  • Extensive experience in retail is mandatory, with a strong track record of driving performance, productivity, and growth.
  • Preferential experience in the fashion and/or luxury sector, with deep understanding of brand-led businesses, premium positioning, and selective distribution models.
  • Proven experience operating in a highly international environment, managing multi-country, multi-cultural teams and markets.
  • Solid and demonstrable experience in the USA, Mexico, and Asia, with a strong understanding of their commercial, cultural, and regulatory dynamics.
  • Senior-level experience managing strategic wholesale key accounts, including El Corte Inglés, and building long-term, value-driven partnerships.
  • Strong exposure to omnichannel business models, digital transformation, and customer-centric commercial strategies.
  • Full professional proficiency in Spanish and English is required;
    knowledge of additional languages is a strong advantage.
  • Must be based in Madrid or willing to relocate, given the headquarters location and executive responsibilities.
  • High level of commitment, passion, and ownership, with the energy and resilience required to operate at Executive Committee level in a fast-paced global environment.
