A prestigious international hotel in Mérida is seeking a Banquet Manager to oversee the banquet department while ensuring alignment with corporate strategies and brand standards. Responsibilities include managing operations, acting as a marketing specialist, and ensuring profitability across outlets. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Hospitality or Tourism, plus at least 2 years of experience in similar roles. Strong operational and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.

Formación

  • 2+ years of experience as an Assistant Banquet Manager or Banquet Manager in a larger operation.
  • Experience in banqueting is an asset.

Summary

You will be responsible for the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations. The Banquet Manager is responsible to function as the Business Manager and a Marketing Specialist for the Banquet Department, to ensure that all the outlets operate successfully, in accordance with the standard of the hotel and are individually profitable.

Qualifications
  • Ideally with a university degree or diploma in Hospitality or Tourism management.
  • Minimum 2 years work experience as Assistant Banquet Manager, or Banquet Manager in larger operation.
  • Good operational, administrative and interpersonal skills are a must, and banqueting experience an asset.
