A leading technology company in Tapachula, Mexico, is seeking an Engineer Lead to design and lead teams for their innovative platform. You will leverage your expertise in Golang, along with experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and ensuring optimal performance and reliability. The ideal candidate has 4 years of backend development experience, strong knowledge of APIs and microservices, and proficiency with Docker, Agile methodologies, and various database engines. • 4 years of backend development (ideally with GO).
• Solid understanding of APIs REST.
• Experience with microservices.
• Proficiency in Docker and CI/CD processes.
• Knowledge of caching solutions like Redis.
• Experience with ESP (Event Streaming Platforms) like Apache Kafka.
• Familiarity with various database engines like MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Experience in Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with Jira, Jenkins, and Sonarqube.
• Experience with service monitoring tools (SignalFx or similar).

Responsabilidades

• Design and lead multidisciplinary teams and systems for our platform.
• Ensure optimal performance and reliability of the platform.
• Discover, prioritize, and implement reliability and performance improvements.
• Review technical aspects of business development proposals.
• Lead team in implementing engineering best practices.
• Guide team members in backlog grooming.
• Prepare and perform sprint releases.
• Maintain on-call support schedule.
• Collaborate on internal architectural decisions for microservices.
• Report team metrics weekly.

Responsibilities

As a Engineer Lead at Rappi, you will be responsible for designing and lead the teams and systems that power our innovative platform. You will leverage your expertise in Golang, asynchronicity, Kafka, SQS, as well as monitoring tools like New Relic or Splunk to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

As part of Rappi, you will be responsible for :

• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams
• Reliability and performance improvements discovery, prioritization and implementation
• Review and refinement of technical aspects of business development proposals
• Leading the team in implementing engineering best practices
• Keeping the team members challenged and motivated
• Guiding the team in backlog grooming
• Preparing and performing sprint releases
• Maintaining on-call support schedule
• Team microservice's internal architectural decisions – collaborating with other EL / EM on the design of solutions spanning multiple teams
• Team metrics weekly reporting
