A global leader in industrial refrigeration located in Tijuana, Mexico, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and improve electrical systems for commercial refrigeration. The role involves compliance with safety standards and troubleshooting issues related to electrical components. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 3–5 years of relevant experience, particularly in HVAC or industrial equipment. Strong knowledge of electrical circuits and intermediate English proficiency are required.

Formación

• 3–5 years of experience, preferably in refrigeration, HVAC, or industrial equipment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, electronics, and control systems.
• Experience with microcontrollers, sensors, motors, and power electronics.
• Solid understanding of thermodynamics as applied to refrigeration systems.
• Familiarity with UL, CSA, NEC, and North American regulatory requirements.
• Experience supporting UL certification processes and compliance testing.
• Intermediate English level (technical and professional communication).

Responsabilidades

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, and continuous improvement of electrical and electronic systems for commercial refrigeration equipment, ensuring compliance with North American safety and performance standards.

Main Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical and electronic circuits for commercial refrigeration systems
• Select, evaluate, and validate electrical components in accordance with UL, CSA, and NEC requirements
• Test and validate prototypes under real operating conditions, including thermal and load performance
• Support energy efficiency analysis aligned with refrigeration performance and sustainability goals
• Design control systems, power distribution, and electrical protection solutions for refrigeration equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical and control issues related to compressors, motors, sensors, and control boards
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation for UL certification and regulatory audits
• Ensure compliance with UL, CSA, DOE, and North American electrical safety standards
• Collaborate with mechanical, refrigeration, and controls engineering teams to optimize system performance
• Provide electrical support to production, quality, and service teams during manufacturing and field issues
• Participate in project management activities, design reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electromechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering
• 3–5 years of experience, preferably in refrigeration, HVAC, or industrial equipment
• Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, electronics, and control systems
• Experience with microcontrollers, sensors, motors, and power electronics
• Solid understanding of thermodynamics as applied to refrigeration systems
• Familiarity with UL, CSA, NEC, and North American regulatory requirements
• Experience supporting UL certification processes and compliance testing
• Proficiency with CAD software and electrical schematics
• Knowledge of energy efficiency standards and refrigeration performance metrics (preferred)
• Intermediate English level (technical and professional communication)
