A leading financial technology company is seeking a Distinguished Engineer in Mexico, Ciudad de México. This role entails leading engineering practices, mentoring talent, and tackling critical technological challenges. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and extensive experience in cloud computing as well as open-source frameworks. This position offers the opportunity to significantly influence technology solutions and drive innovation within a collaborative environment.

Formación

• Intermediate-Advanced English fluency required.
• At least 5 years of experience with cloud computing required.
• Experience with Vue.js is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Leverage sound judgment and problem solving to tackle some of Capital One’s most mission‑critical problems and connect the dots to broader implications of the work
• Build awareness, increase knowledge and drive adoption of modern technologies and architecture patterns, sharing customer and engineering benefits to gain buy‑in
• Strike the right balance between lending expertise and providing an inclusive environment where others’ ideas can be heard and championed; leverage expertise to grow skills in the broader Capital One team
• Promote a culture of engineering excellence and being well‑managed, using opportunities to reuse and innersource solutions where possible
• Effectively communicate with and influence key stakeholders across the enterprise, at all levels of the organization
• Operate as a trusted advisor for a specific technology, platform or capability domain, helping to shape use cases and implementation in an integrated manner
• Lead the way in creating next‑generation talent for Tech, mentoring internal talent and actively recruiting external talent to bolster Capital One’s Tech talent
• Interact in the design and migration of new service layers/integration patterns.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Intermediate-Advanced English fluency
• React based frameworks*
• At least 5 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
• At least 7 years of experience in open source frameworks

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in computer science or technology related fields
• At least 12 years of experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, Python, C#/.Net or Go
• At least 7 years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service
• At least 2+ years of experience with Vue.js
• Experience on integration with APIs and integration patterns
