Overview
The Advertising Strategist works under general supervision and follows company and department policies and procedures to oversee advertising strategies for clients.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, interpret, and strategize advertising campaigns to maximize ROI and optimize performance.
- Enhance digital strategy and stay ahead of industry trends, leveraging AI tools and delegation resources.
- Act as a subject matter expert and Trainual content owner for specialized department functions, developing reports and providing guidance to peers.
- Manage Amazon search campaigns across clients of various business types and industries, performing daily optimizations and high-level strategy changes.
- Provide insightful analysis and actionable plans based on campaign performance data from Amazon Ad Console and other retail media platforms.
- Align campaign strategies with overall retail business performance and client goals.
- Conduct in-depth market research and competitor analysis to inform campaign strategies.
- Maintain frequent and excellent communication with internal agency teams and external clients.
- Efficiently leverage AI tools and delegation resources to enhance workflow effectiveness and campaign outcomes.
- Discuss anomalies, possible causes, and provide solutions to the manager to ensure alignment with client and company requirements.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with internal teams and clients while maintaining or exceeding department-established performance standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Two or more (2+) years of experience in digital marketing with agency experience or related roles.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of department practices, procedures, and specialized functions.
- Applies good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions to assigned clients and projects.
- Proficiency in Google / Microsoft Office Suite(s) with effective navigation and utilization skills in Excel / Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to manage higher-risk decisions involving significant capital.
- Experience with Amazon retail search advertising, Google paid search advertising, or similar platforms is highly valued.
- Significant experience managing campaigns in various platforms, including Amazon Ad Console, Amazon 3rd Party Advertising Platforms, Walmart Connect.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
